Building Information Modeling begins at Limbach Engineering & Design Services. By using the same program and technology as Limbach, LEDS can capture the benefits of 3D design and coordination earlier in the construction delivery process. The HVAC, Piping, and Plumbing 3D models are developed to represent the lowest cost, highest performing systems that are coordinated.

This allows us to focus all of our engineering and construction capabilities on providing the customer with the best end value and guarantees performance and costs up front. Design Build is the highest value service that we provide our customers. Our sales engineers, estimators, professional design engineers and project construction team provide pre-construction services that establish an efficient mechanical system design and constructability evaluation, taking into account operation and maintenance requirements, practical construction methods and most importantly the customer’s First Cost and Return on Investment (ROI) requirements.

The Design Build process utilized by Limbach's in-house engineering group, Limbach Engineering and Design Services (LEDS), is geared toward quality and specified end performance based on an up-front agreed-upon scope for a guaranteed final price at completion. LEDS is not driven by the collection of our engineering fees. We are driven by the success of the project and the delivery of value to the customers of Limbach Facility Services.

High performance is included in the LEDS design efforts by using energy analysis techniques and life cycle cost analysis to determine the optimal solution for HVAC and plumbing designs.  With our staff of LEED Accredited Professionals we have the experience necessary to obtain certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.  With this approach to sustainability, LEDS and Limbach can deliver a building that will perform at the highest level for the life of the building.
